Perfume #16 Now Available at the Vanderpoel House
We’ve created a custom perfume inspired by the Vanderpoel property, with a top note of Lily of the Valley, and a base of cedar and juniper.
Lily of the Valley was introduced to the United States in 1738 from Europe and was very popular in the 1800s. It has long been considered a symbol of purity, love, and luck.
The Vanderpoel site originally featured a small farm which included a kitchen garden. An early description states that "there were flowers, all mixed in with the vegetables". In folklore, Lily of the Valley is said to protect gardens from evil spirits and is also considered to be the flowers of the fairies, who drink from its cups.
Florent perfumes are made from a base of certified organic ethanol distilled from grape. Beet root and myrrh are extracted into this to make a fixative. Certified organic and ethically wild harvested essential oils, absolutes and co's provide the scent profile.
